Camping Itasca State Park

NOTE: If Camping fills up and you would like to go on the trip rsvp on the waitlist. People will be moved from the waitlist to open spots if they come available. CAMPING Join us for a weekend of camping at Itasca State Park in Park Rapids, MN on Friday Sep 10th through Sunday Sep 12th. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/itasca/index.html From the website: Established in 1891, Itasca is Minnesota's oldest state park. Today, the park totals more than 32,000 acres and includes more than 100 lakes. Walk across the mighty Mississippi as it starts its winding journey 2,552 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. Stand under towering pines at Preacher's Grove. Visit the Itasca Indian Cemetery or Wegmann's Cabin, landmarks of centuries gone by. Camp under the stars, or stay the night at the historic Douglas Lodge or cabins. Explore Wilderness Drive past the 2,000-acre Wilderness Sanctuary, one of Minnesota's seven National Natural Landmarks. I have reserved a group camp site for up to 30 people for 2 nights starting Sep 10th. The campsite is guaranteed to be available at 4pm on Sep 10th but may be open earlier. Only registered campers are allowed in the park after 10 p.m. Cost per person for camping: (provided we get 30 people ) cash/check (email me for mailing address) = $7 Amazon (includes $1 amazon fee) = $8 *Cost may be higher if we do not get 30 people There will be an additional cost for parking, food, and transportation. To reserve your spot on the trip make payment by Wed. Aug 25th. After the 25th I will change your RSVP to a No and move people from the waitlist to a Yes. Please Note: Once you have paid for your spot on the trip, you are responsible for it. I had to pay for this trip upfront out of my own pocket, so refunds will not be gauranteed for changes in RSVP after recieving payment unless someone on the waitlist can take your spot (this is not gauranteed). If you absolutely can not go on the trip after paying for your spot, contact me ASAP so that we can try and find someone to take your place. We will be responsible for providing all our own tents, gear, food etc. A planning meeting will be scheduled 1 - 2 weeks before the trip to discuss the details of the trip, determine who has what for camping gear and figure out carpooling.
